Who is responsible

This site is run by Varun Kaklia, an individual based in Bengaluru, India. For questions about your data, or to have it deleted, email varunkaklia@gmail.com.

The enquiry form

If you submit the freelance form, the name, email address, project type, budget, timeline and message you type are sent to me by email so I can reply. That is the only reason they are processed, and the legal basis is your own request to be contacted (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b), steps taken at your request prior to a contract).

Delivery runs through an email provider (Resend or Formspree, depending on configuration), which processes the message on my behalf. Enquiries stay in my mailbox until they are no longer relevant, and no longer than 24 months. They are never sold, never used for marketing, and never added to a mailing list.

Analytics

Vercel Analytics counts page views. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, assigns no persistent identifier and does not follow you across sites — so there is no consent banner here, because there is nothing to consent to. I see aggregate counts, never individuals.

What is stored on your device

One localStorage entry remembering whether you chose light or dark mode. It never leaves your browser and is not a cookie. Clearing site data removes it.

Your rights

Wherever you are, you can ask me for a copy of anything I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it — email the address above and I will action it. Under the GDPR (EU/EEA and UK) you may also object to or restrict processing, request portability, and complain to your national data protection authority. Under Australian Privacy Principles and applicable US state privacy laws, equivalent access and deletion rights apply.

Transfers

The site is hosted by Vercel and email is delivered by the provider named above; both operate servers outside your country, including in the United States. Enquiry contents travel to wherever my mailbox is.
